The Role:
To add to the almost-dozen new hires we’ve facilitated for this organisation in recent months, we are now recruiting an experienced Software Tester, a newly established role within the Application Development team, who will join the Sydney group on a full-time hybrid basis.
Some of the key responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing the platform’s numerical libraries and platform versions
- Designing, implementing, and executing new test cases.
- Reviewing and updating existing test cases.
- Performing functional and regression testing duties.
- Database configuration and application testing of software deliveries for clients and demonstration environments.
- Work in close cooperation with quantitative developers, analysts and researchers.
- Documenting test processes.
To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about both the client’s customer and commercial success and ensuring that the company produces robust, well-tested software.
You will be self-motivated, be able to learn quickly, and have the ability to adapt to new challenges and situations.
Additionally, you will likely have and be able to demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Maths, Actuarial Studies)
- 3 years plus of testing experience in a commercial environment.
- Experience in testing quantitative and technical elements software products.
- Experience with SQL Server.
- Excel add-in and Web browser testing experience.
- Experience with source control, defect-tracking tools and automated testing tools.
- Experience with (or demonstrable interest in) automation testing tools for APIs and Web.
The remuneration package is competitive and commensurate with experience.
It is expected the successful candidate will likely have an immediate start.
